That experience shapes how these guides are written. Most cost pages are built backwards from a keyword. These are built from what actually appears on a quote: where the money goes, which line is going to move once the work starts, and what a homeowner should be asking before they sign anything.

Every one of those figures is checked against its primary source — HMRC notices for VAT, the official scheme pages for grants — and every page links to that source with the date it was last checked.
