What it was worth
Up to £5,000 towards insulation and low-carbon heating, or up to £10,000 for households on qualifying benefits.
Why it closed
Announced in July 2020 and closed less than a year later. The voucher administration proved slow enough that many installers stopped taking part, and the National Audit Office later found the scheme had been rushed. Only a fraction of the budget reached households.
